When Raulon and I got married, we got a waffle maker, a mixer, a toaster,
a quesadilla maker, 3 slow cookers, and a toaster oven. We got PLENTY of appliances.
But the one thing we didn't get, was a microwave.
we could last with out a microwave for a while.... we were wrong. Have you ever gone without
a microwave for three months? It's no fun. When you want to reheat something,
you have to dirty the pot or pan all over again. A toaster oven doesn't
reheat things like we though it would. Also, if you want something quick,
like a hot pocket-you have to cook it in the oven for 35 minutes...not so quick.
Thank goodness for Raulon's sister, Roxa! She heard of our predicament and she
had an extra microwave, so she sent it down our way and we are so happy!
We had a microwave popcorn for the first time since our honeymoon!! It was delicious!
(a good thing to because we got like 50 packages when we got married!)

I know exactly how you feel! Louis and I didn't get a microwave and our sister-in-law gave us an extra one they had! And I'm pretty sure that the first thing we made was microwave popcorn haha! It's nice having one isn't it? It's funny how you don't realize how much you rely on something until you don't have it for awhile
Hooray for microwaves and kind family members!
It's about time! I'm surprised you guys lasted that long without one. I microwave stuff on a daily basis. :)
How in the world did they do without them in the "old days"? Grandma Jensen had one that she used to store her bread in. She was so used to heating things up on the stove that she hated using the microwave! I'm glad you finally got a microwave. Bless you Roxa!
Hey there! I'm going private. Leave your email on my blog :0)
