Well, we finally have the internet and now that I'm married I have much more time to write, so plan on me keeping you updated on our new life together!
After being married on Dec. 11, 2009 in the Logan Temple, we headed off for our honeymoon in Coronado Bay, California. It's basically a little island just off of San Diego and the only way to get to and from it is on this crazy, awesome bridge!
It was a 14 hour drive... kind of long, but we made it fun and took turns driving and sleeping. We had a GREAT time and enjoyed getting away from the cold Cache Valley winter. Raulon had never been to the ocean before, so it was so much fun to share his first time with him!
We were able to go the San Diego Temple, which was GORGEOUS! After doing a session we had lunch there, and it was actually one of the best meals we had on our whole trip!
We also did a lot of sight-seeing in Coronado which is basically a tourist town, in San Diego (we got lost trying to get back onto the right freeway!) and enjoyed the beach! We had such a blast and didn't want to leave, but after another 14 hour drive we were sure glad to come to our new house!
We've finally gotten all unpacked and our little house feels so much like home now! We love it! It's old and little, but it's ours. Raulon is attending USU this semester with a major in Dietetics. He plans to use this to eventually get his masters in Physical Therapy. He works at a youth detention center in Brigham City and really enjoys working with the boys there. He's become many of their friends and they are always asking when he's going to work next! I'm still working at Lee's Marketplace and took another semester off so we could get all settled in and save a little money, but I plan on going back next semester.
This is a photo of Raulon and me on Christmas Day. Raulon will probably be mad at me for posting this because he looks really tired, but I love this picture! I think he looks adorable :) He had to work the graveyard shift that night at work so he'd just woken up from a nap.
We are loving married life and are SO happy we get to be together forever!! We hope everyone is well! I'll try and keep you updated!
