Christmas Music!

Is there anything wrong with listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving? If there is than I'm a really bad person because I started listening to it the day after Halloween! :) I'm just a person that love's holidays and the Holiday Season, and what's the Holiday Season without a little Christmas music?

Some people argue that I'm disrespecting and forgetting about Thanksgiving. NO WAY!!! I love Thanksgiving! I respect Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving and I are best friends!!! (I think I've broken the no-multiple-exclamation-on-your-blog rule...oops!) Seriously though, that's like saying you can't eat jelly beans unless it's Easter! I'm just enjoying the Holiday Season for as long as I can. That can't be a sin :) Want a good place to listen to Christmas music almost completely commercial free? Go to www.accuradio.com/holidays and you can chose what type of Christmas music you want to listen to, whether it's the old stuff, the new stuff, instrumental, or the best of all time and more!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
P.S. Where is the snow? :(

What To Be or Not To Be

As many of you already know, I'm not sure what I'm going to major in. I have too many interests. I want to do something maybe in Psychology, Sociology, Public Relations, Music, or Family Consumer Science. See my problem? So I'm getting really excited for this next semester to be here because my classes this semester are so boring and uninteresting and next semester I'm going to take a class from each of these areas I'm interested in and hopefully that will help me funnel things down a bit. It should be a lot more interesting and exciting than this semester where I'm just finishing up my generals. It's so hard to decide now what you'll be doing for the rest of your life! Yuck-wish me luck! Maybe I should just drop out! ;)

i'M bAcK! aRe YoU hApPy?/ Halloween!

Hey Everyone,
Yes, it's true. Recently I have considered myself too busy to keep my blog updated and I "strayed away from the fold" for a little bit, but I've decided to start doing a lot better and update me blog regularly.
To start off with I'm going to talk about one of my favorite holidays... HALLOWEEN! It's one of the most fun holidays because you get to be something that you're not usually! I wish this holiday lasted a whole week so that we could dress up six days in a row in different costumes. The candy is just an added bonus to this day, especially since I'm older and don't get as much of it as the good ol' days. Do you know where Halloween came from? There is a holiday celebrated by some Christian religions called All Saints Day to honor the deaths of the "good" saints that have passed on before them. Well some people started to realize that it wasn't fair to honor only the "good" saints, but the "bad" saints should be honored too. So they created All Hallow's Eve which comes the night before All Saints Day. We know this day as... HaLlOwEeN! I'm going to dress up as Little Bow-Peep this year and I'm actually sewing my own costume from a pattern. I'm hoping that there are a lot of fun Halloween parties up here in college, because my last couple of Halloween's had some pretty lame moments, such as two years ago no one wanting to go trick-or-treating with me (but Katie and I dressed up like sweet old ladies!) and last year when I had to work concessions for drama at a USU basketball game. Well that's all for now. I hope everyone is happy that I finally wrote!

This is the picture from the actual pattern I'm making and I just really like this other picture that I found on the internet :)

Mimi, Where are You?

Mimi, you haven't blogged for so long! Where are you? Are you having so much fun away at school that you've forgotten about the caring people who want to know what's going on in your life? For instance, there is a rumor that you and Erin made pancakes that tasted like potatoes. Where is the story and the pictures?

Life Goes On...

Isn't it so crazy that no matter how tough things are-no matter what changes occur in your life, that it somehow goes on? Sometimes you just want to cry and you don't want to be happy. You don't want to move on. But life won't let you do that! It keeps on keeping on, and so many good and happy things happen that you can't help but let go of the past and be happy again! I'm so grateful for my wonderful family and friends that make life easier to just go on when things get rough! I love you guys! You're so great! :D

Trip to Montana :)

Last Friday I went on a trip to Anaconda and Butte, Montana with my Mom, my Grandpa Smith, and my Aunts, Becky and Leslie. We had such a blast! At least I did :)This is Grandpa, Aunt Leslie and I under the "Entering Montana" sign!
This is me and my pal Mr. KFC at his restaurant in Butte :)

While my aunts took Grandpa to his 60th class Reunion train ride, my mom and I went all around town looking for a place in Anaconda that was open so we could buy some t-shirts for us to remember the trip by. All the stores closed up at 5 pm there! It was ridiculous! In the end we found some at a gas station right before we went to go pick up my aunts and Grandpa. On our little adventure, we stopped at Washoe park where there was this little greenhouse type thing with pretty flowers in it and that's where these two pictures come from :)

Ah, isn't she pretty? :) She matches the flowers!

This picture is of my Mom, Grandpa and me standing next to Granny and Grandpa's grave on Sunday after church before we went to Grandpa's reunion picnic at Washoe Park

These two pictures were also taken on our adventure to find Anaconda t-shirts. We drove to Georgetown Lake to see if they had a gift shop there-isn't it pretty? :)

Montana was a blast and I had so much fun spending all that time with my mom and getting to hang out with my Aunts and Grandpa! Anaconda is such a fun town! I even learned how to do geneology on the ride there ;) lol, imagine that!

Crazy Blogspots!

So I didn't realize that creating a blog could be so crazy! It's hard to get everything the way you want it and then when you finally do, sometimes you realize that what you wanted doesn't look good at all! :) lol I also didn't realize that blogging could be so addicting! I got off of work at ten tonight and thought I'd just add a few things to my new blog and go relax, but instead I've been on here for over an hour and don't see myself stopping in the foreseeable future :) lol I see everyone else's really cute blogs and it makes me want mine to be really cute too, but it's harder than it looks! So props to all my family members with cute blogs! I guess I'll just keep trying- as they say, practice makes perfect... plus advice from your family! :) Let me know if you have any blogging tips that'll help me create a better blogspot! Thanks :)
